Routine dentistry

Examination
On examination the dentist will start by asking you about any problems/concerns you have.

The dentist will then examine your gums and teeth, if necessary x-rays will be taken.

A treatment plan will then be discussed with you.

When treatment is completed the dentist will recommend a suitable recall period.

Fillings

White fillings are used wherever possible to restore broken or decayed teeth. Occasionally a silver filling will be recommended where a white filling would not be suitable.

Extractions
When a tooth is beyond restoration an extraction is usually required.

At Enlighten Dental Care we will access the tooth this will require an x-ray.

Most extractions can be carried out here at Enlighten Dental Care however if surgery is involved, referral to an oral surgeon can be arranged.
